NightClear is designed to be a private, safe space for your thoughts. We do not collect or store your personal journaling data on our servers.

• Journal Entries & Audio: All text and audio inputs are processed locally on your device or via secure, stateless AI processing. Your data is stored locally on your device and synced via your personal iCloud account (if enabled). We do not have access to your entries.
• Usage Data: We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage data (e.g., number of sessions completed) to help us improve the app. This data is not linked to your identity.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the minimal data collected to:

• Provide the core functionality of structuring your anxiety and generating micro-actions.
• Sync your history across your devices via Apple iCloud.
• Process subscriptions and purchases via Apple StoreKit.

3. AI Processing

NightClear uses advanced AI models to analyze your inputs. When you submit an entry:

• Your text is sent securely to our AI provider for analysis.
• The data is not used to train the AI models.
• The data is discarded by the processor immediately after the analysis is returned to your device.

4. Third-Party Services

We may employ third-party companies and individuals due to the following reasons:

• To facilitate our Service;
• To provide the Service on our behalf;

We currently use Apple iCloud for data synchronization and RevenueCat/Apple StoreKit for subscription management.

5. Security

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

6. Children's Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
